Prof. Dr. Metin TULGAR

İstanbul Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi'nden Elektrik Yüksek Mühendisi olarak mezun olduktan sonra, biyoelektronik alanında çalışmalara başladı. İngiltere'de The University of Liverpool Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurological Sciences bünyesinde doktora yaptı. Daha sonra A.B.D.'de Thomas Jefferson University Division of Functional Neurosurgery Neuro-Implant Programı'nda post-doctoral araştırmacı olarak görev aldı. Güvenli ve etkili nörostimülasyon tedavisi için parametrelerin optimizasyonu ve yeni implantasyon tekniklerinin geliştirilmesi amacıyla projeler hazırladı. Beyin Pilleri konusundaki çalışmalarıyla, Cambridge International Biography Center tarafından 2002'de Uluslararası Yılın Bilimadamı seçildi. Halen Yeditepe Üniversitesi'nde sürdürdüğü öğretim üyeliği yanısıra İstanbul-Kartal'da 2005 yılında kurduğu ULUSLARARASI NÖROTEKNOLOJİ MERKEZİ sorumlusudur.
